Strength Membership Agreement & Studio Policies

This agreement covers your strength membership with Metric Strength LLC ("Metric Strength," "we," or "us"). The plan you selected (its name, its price per four-week billing cycle, and its number of strength sessions per cycle) is set out in the order confirmation you receive at signup and in your online member account, and is incorporated into this agreement.

1. Your Membership & Credits

Metric Strength provides personal training services by reservation (guided strength sessions and guided cardio sessions), not open-gym access.

Your plan includes a set number of strength session credits each four-week billing cycle. Your credits are issued when your payment succeeds, first at sign-up and then with each automatic payment on your Billing Date, and are available for immediate booking. Unused credits roll over cycle to cycle while your membership is active and in good standing. Your plan also includes guided cardio sessions at no additional charge; a reservation is required for each session.

If you cancel: you may continue to book and use your accumulated session credits during a sixty (60) day wind-down after your final paid billing cycle ends. Credits unused at the end of that wind-down expire.

2. Billing & Automatic Renewal

Your membership runs on a four-week billing cycle and renews automatically every four weeks until you cancel. You authorize Metric Strength to charge the payment method on file ____________________ every four weeks on your billing day (your "Billing Date"). Because four weeks is slightly shorter than most calendar months, your Billing Date moves earlier in the calendar over time, and occasionally two Billing Dates fall within the same calendar month. You are charged once per four-week cycle, never twice for the same cycle.

3. How to Cancel

You may cancel at any time: email hello@metricstrength.com, send us a text, or use the Cancel Membership option in your member account. Your cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid billing cycle: you will not be billed for any billing cycle that begins after we receive your notice. Your access continues through the end of that cycle, and remaining credits stay usable through the 60-day wind-down in Section 1.

This everyday right to cancel is separate from the one-time Ohio cooling-off right in Section 7.

4. Freezing Your Membership

You may freeze your membership for one to five consecutive months per calendar year at no charge. While frozen, billing is paused and you may still book strength sessions using your banked credits. Included cardio sessions are paused during a freeze.

5. Scheduling & Missed Sessions

Strength sessions: 24-hour rule. Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before the start time; a late cancel or no-show forfeits one (1) credit.

Cardio sessions: 8-hour rule. Cancel or reschedule at least 8 hours before the start time. A late-cancelled or missed cardio session may be forfeited, and repeated no-shows may pause included cardio sessions at our discretion. No fee is charged for a missed cardio session.

6. Assumption of Risk

Personal training and high-intensity exercise carry inherent risks. You confirm you are participating voluntarily and assume those risks. This agreement is supplemented by the separate Waiver and the PAR-Q+ health-readiness form you complete at signup, which are incorporated by reference. Nothing in this agreement waives any right that cannot be waived under Ohio law.

7. Your One-Time 3-Day Right to Cancel (Ohio Law)

Separate from Section 3, Ohio law gives you a one-time right to cancel this contract shortly after you sign up. You may cancel for any reason before midnight of the third business day after the date your first service is available (or, if the facility or service was not available when you signed, before midnight of the seventh business day after you receive your first service). If you cancel within this period, we will refund all money you have paid. The simplest way is a short email to hello@metricstrength.com. The notice below is the exact text Ohio law requires:

For this electronically signed agreement, the "date of contract" above is the date of your electronic signature.

8. Term & Renewal

Each membership term is one four-week billing cycle, beginning on your Billing Date and ending the day before your next Billing Date, renewing automatically under Section 2 until you cancel under Section 3. No term of this agreement extends more than three years from the date you sign; if your membership is still active as the third anniversary approaches, we will ask you to sign a fresh agreement (on the then-current terms) to continue, and your billing continues uninterrupted. Your membership is available for your use beginning on the date you sign (or no later than one hundred eighty days after).

9. Refund if You Can No Longer Use Your Membership

If you become unable to use the services for the remainder of a paid term, whether through physical or mental disability, incapacity, or death, Metric Strength (or its successor) will refund, pro-rata, any prepaid amount attributable to services not received, within thirty days after we receive notice. We may reasonably request written verification. Notice may be given by you, your family, or your legal representative by email or mail to the addresses above.

10. Refund on Relocation or Closure

If you move more than twenty-five miles from the facility and no substantially similar facility operated by us or our successor will accept your membership within twenty-five miles of your new residence, you may terminate by written notice (email is sufficient) and we will refund, pro-rata, any prepaid amount attributable to services not received. We may request reasonable evidence of relocation. If we relocate more than twenty-five miles from your residence or permanently discontinue the services without a substitute within twenty-five miles, you may terminate with the same pro-rata refund.

11. Your Personal Information

Metric Strength uses the information you provide, including your health-readiness (PAR-Q+) answers, to operate your membership and provide safe training. We do not sell it. We disclose it only to personnel and service providers who need it for those purposes, when you direct us to, or when permitted or required by law. All information and material of a personal or private nature acquired from you, including answers to tests or questionnaires, photographs, or background information, will be returned to you by regular mail within thirty days after the expiration of this agreement.

12. Electronic Records & Signatures

By signing electronically, you agree to conduct this transaction by electronic means, and your electronic signature has the same effect as a handwritten one. This consent covers your membership agreements, waivers, health-readiness forms, cancellation notices, amendments, and related membership records. You will receive your signed documents by email and can view, download, and print them anytime in your member account; your electronic consent demonstrates that you can access records in this format. You need an internet-connected device, a current web browser, an email account, and software capable of opening PDF files. You may update your email address in your account or by contacting us, request a free paper copy of any record, or withdraw this consent for future documents at any time. Withdrawal does not affect documents you already signed, and this section does not limit Sections 3 or 7.
